Our mission is to find loving forever homes for strays and mistreated dogs. We promote awareness in animal welfare and prevent cruelty as well as educate the public about humane treatment of animals and encourage vet care and spay/neutering.


Christiane Dionne, MBA

Consulting, Executive Director

Christiane is passionate about animal advocacy, community development and proper training methods for our dogs at the rescue. You will often see her out in the field working our dogs or at the top of a mountain. In her spare time, Christiane enjoys spending time with her Golden Retriever.


Wendee Amero, ARNP

Emeritus Board Member

Animal advocacy is so important and has been part of Wendee’s life for close to 10 years. As one of the founding members, Wendee has made it her purpose to connect dogs with their furever families. Wendee is a Family Nurse Practitioner and continues to consult with our board in an Emeritus role.


David Stephens

David is an Australian, living in NH and has been volunteering at Wags and Wiggles for over 2 years.  You will often see him walking through our neighborhoods with our dogs and as a strong dog advocate all his life, he is committed to the Wags mission.


Amanda Rainey

With a tail-wagging twenty years of herding funds and barking up the marketing tree for nonprofits, Amanda is a pack leader in connecting people with passions. A die-hard animal enthusiast and foster fur-mom, she’s opened her home to a parade of paws for over a decade.

Kendra Kinscherf

Kendra started with Wags and Wiggles as a volunteer, but given her passion for animal rescue and our organization, she has added Board member to her roster.  Kendra has been a lawyer since 2007 and has previous experience with a variety of nonprofit organizations.  Kendra, her husband, and her 2 rescue dogs primarily live in Massachusetts, but spend most weekends in Newbury.  When Kendra is not working or walking the pups, you can find her on the hiking trail, tennis courts, or ski slopes.


Rachel Benoit, MBA

Meet Rachel, a true animal lover with an unwavering passion for canines! As a devoted caretaker to her beloved fur babies, Lenny and Jax, she understands the importance of providing a nurturing environment and loving home for every four-legged friend in need. She brings a unique blend of skills to the board, leveraging her expertise in project management and strategic event coordination. When Rachel is not busy taking care of her furry companions or lending a hand at the rescue, she can be found capturing beautiful moments through the lens of her camera.
