Our mission is to find loving forever homes for strays and mistreated dogs. To promote awareness in animal welfare and prevent cruelty as well as educate the public about humane treatment of animals and encourage vet care and spay/neutering.
Christiane Dionne, President and Events Coordinator
As a long time animal advocate, Christiane is passionate about rehabilitation and finding the perfect family match for the rescue pups. In her free time she resides with two labs, a mastiff, a pit bull mix and two guinea pigs.
Leslie Sampson is Volunteer Coordinator and Founding member of Wags & Wiggles Rescue.
Leslie has been an animal advocate all her life starting with the stray cats and dogs she would bring home as a child. Leslie has been involved in dog rescue since adopting her first dog in 1998. She and her husband, Mike share their home with several Great Pyrenees and other rescued creatures on their farm in Croydon. Together Leslie & Mike have welcomed hundreds of dogs thru their doors over the years treating them as their own until they find homes of their own.
Leslie’s duties in the rescue include intake, transport coordinator as well as running our quarantine and kennel.
Pictured clockwise are Leslie’s dogs, Luke (standing) and Gypsy (lying down) Dagwood, Mitch, Wyatt, Joy and Halo. That is Leslie in the center with Willow, my heart and soul dog. I lost my beloved Willow to cancer over two years ago now.
Wendee Amero, Treasurer
I’ve been helping in dog rescue the past three years however I can. I’m incredibly excited to be part of this rescue with some amazing ladies! I will also be helping with public relations. If you have any ideas for us with this, please reach out to me.
These are my two lovely kids. Brandy is on the left and from Mississippi and on the right with me is Crystal and she is from Missouri!

Sherry Waters, Volunteer Coordinator
Hello, I’m Sherry Waters, Volunteer Coordinator for Wags and Wiggles Rescue. I have been a volunteer since 2017 and joined the board in 2019. My passion in life is to help animals in need and I enjoy working with this wonderful group of ladies. I adopted Kera, a mini pincher/ dachshund mix from Wags and Wiggles and she completely stole my heart. My fat cat, Tasha, rounds out my fur family. I may not be able to take them all home but I can give love to the ones who need it the most.
